Animal Crossing New Horizons | How to change the behavior of your neighbors

Thanks to Animal Crossing New Horizons update 2.0 , they have implemented a mechanic that we had in previous installments like New Leaf. With it, we can change various habits and behaviors of our neighbors so that they adapt to our schedule or do certain actions.

How to set ordinances in Animal Crossing New Horizons

In order to start with the island’s ordinances, you will need to have the town hall building already installed with Canela working on it. If you already meet that requirement, you will simply have to go to it and interact with the counter on the right to talk to her.

Select the option ” Insular Directives ” and “Ordinances”. I hope you are foresighted and have some money in your wallet, since issuing one of them will cost you about 20,000 bells. When paying, you will be able to choose one of the following ordinances.

All Animal Crossing New Horizons ordinances

Currently, we have 4 types of ordinances , some more useful than others, so think carefully about what you want to spend that amount of berries on.

ORDINANCE ACTION
TO GET UP EARLY The schedules of all residents of the island will be moved forward 3 hours, so you can find them walking around the island or opening their stores earlier.
NIGHT LIFE The opposite of “get up early.” With this ordinance, your neighbors’ schedule will be delayed by 3 hours, closing stores and going to bed later.
LIKE A WHISTLE This is undoubtedly one of the most useful, since all residents are ordered to keep the island pristine, removing weeds, watering flowers and collecting garbage.
BERRIES IN ABUNDANCE All prices on your island increase by 10%, in exchange, the berries you can get from selling items increase.
