Artistic career

The beginning

Since Ariadna was little, everything related to art caught her attention, but the most obvious inclination was singing. Whenever she could, she would grab any device that looked like a microphone and start singing at the door of the building. He also tried to get into dancing, but it was decidedly not for her. Already in first grade she played a role for the educational program Hazando Caminos, where she had to cry because she did not adapt to school; That’s why the chapter was called Step by Step. Ariadna insisted to her mother about singing or percussion, although she ended up trying theater . Thus, in fourth grade, she joined the group of instructor Gladys Ávila, on Calzada and 8, in Vedado.

Television Experience

He began on Cuban Television in the serial Mucho Ruido with the character Yaíma, whom he considered without many complications or conflicts. Despite having a mother who only gives importance to material things, this character likes friendship, he is supportive and greatly admires the intelligence of those around him. This serial, scripted by Maité and Ricardo Vila and under the general direction of Mariela López, won the Grand Prize at the Cuban Television Festival.

“She had limitless patience. It was not easy at all to deal with so many teenagers and the many obstacles that arose during filming, starting with the intense cold that we suffered, especially in the countryside. Mariela is one of those people you can count on when you need it.”

says Ariadna, who considers it lucky to have been selected for the serial, because she now retains the best memories of Mariela López , her Director, someone who can be considered a mother and friend to everyone.

For Ariadna, this role of Yaíma allowed her to realize the knowledge provided by her teachers at the National School of Art , Sándor Menéndez, Katia Caso and Ileana Chávez. But the exchange with actors of the stature of Corina Mestre , Dianelis Brito , Blanca Rosa Blanco , Irela Bravo , Yazmín Gómez , Marta del Río , Osvaldo Doimeadiós and Rolando Núñez , among other greats of the medium, was also decisive. She participated in the serial Adrenalina 360 .

Cinema Experience

She played a small but very important character—Milena—in the feature film Ticket to Paradise , by director Gerardo Chijona , and a leading role in the musical film Irremediably Together , directed by Jorge Luis Sánchez .

Theater experience

With A Midsummer Night’s Dream , Ariadna Núñez graduated. Norge Espinosa ‘s version of Shakespeare’s play at the headquarters of the El Público Theater Group was a project that she thoroughly enjoyed in each performance of her role as Titania. The play was my thesis and became a season of more than 20 performances. For her, Carlos Díaz is another of those spectacular and charismatic beings that life places along the way. He is the one who leads with an iron fist and a kid glove, as they say, and in each rehearsal or training session he teaches something different.
