Permanent Delete

Please note! Once your account is permanently deleted, there is no way to reactivate it!

  • Open a browser on your phone or computer. Instagram cannot be deleted via the application.
  • Go to the page https://help.instagram.com/
  • Select the ” Manage Your Account ” section , then select ” Delete your Instagram Account “.
  • Enter your Instagram account password.
  • Click the red “Delete Account” button.
  • Instagram will give you confirmation once more. Once you are sure, click “Delete Account” again.

*Note: The process of permanently deleting an Instagram account can take up to 30 days. During that time, you can still cancel the deletion by logging back into your account.

Temporarily Disable

  • Open the Instagram application on your cellphone.
  • Go to your profile page.
  • Click the three lines in the top right corner.
  • Select “Settings  .

  • Click “Disable Account  .
