What is a PokéStop Exhibit?

As it is a new mechanic, many still do not know what a PokéStop Exhibition is .

We all know the Pokéstops in Pokémon GO . They are a mechanic that connects the real world with the virtual one to be able to interact with specific places and thus collect objects, fight against members of Team GO Rocket or obtain different prizes.

PokéStop Exhibit is the new mechanic for competing in Pokémon GO, which appears at some specific PokéStops. The new feature allows you to show a specific Pokémon that varies in each event, and that will compete with those of other trainers.

For example, at the July exhibit only Squirtle was allowed. You can choose the best one you have in order to climb points on the table for that particular PokéStop.

To enjoy this new feature you first have to look for the special PokéStops icon. These will admit a maximum of 1 Pokémon per person, with 150 being the maximum number of participants in the Exhibition.

The three best Pokémon will be displayed on the main event screen and their trainers will be able to claim rewards. These can include Stardust , XP, and more.

How to win in the competition?

To secure your first place in the PokéStop Showcase you need to meet the criteria that will rate your Pokémon and put it at the top in terms of scoring.

You can check what type of species is required in each exhibition and what aspect will be valued by pressing the ‘Exhibition’ button. This will also show you the Pokémon you need, the leader so far, and how long until the challenge ends.

Your best option (and practically the only one) is to choose the Pokémon that indicates the event with the best points in the characteristic that is valued. The game will tell you how many points your monster will get, which will give you an idea of how it will do in the event.

Even if you’re not at the PokéStop, you’ll be able to see how your Pokémon are doing in the PokéStop Showcase from the Today view. If you go down to the bottom you will be able to see your Pokémon, the score table, and you can even exchange it for another.

Remember that there will always be a Research or side event in which you can capture the Pokémon from the PokéStop Exhibit.

What prizes can you get?

When  the PokéStop Showcase ends, first place will win a special event medal. The top three trainers have a chance to receive Star Chunks or Incubators.

Participants who have not managed to reach the top three will receive Experience and Stardust.

Showcases are the perfect event to participate in without taking up time to demonstrate your level in other types of missions or carry out your daily Pokémon hunting routine.

How to find participating PokéStops?

You will always find a PokéStop Display at certain fixed PokéStops. You will be able to differentiate this event from others thanks to the icon of a blue disk floating above.

From the moment you leave your Pokémon at the Exhibit, the event icon will change from blue to purple.

As far as is known, these types of challenges will be carried out in the same PokéStop during the same season. Therefore, if you have already obtained a PokéStop Exhibition, you already know that other Exhibitions will be held in that same place.

It is not known specifically when these exhibits appear, but the moment you come across one, try to enter and discover which Pokémon will be put on display for everyone under new criteria.

Some types of challenges will reward the heaviest, lightest, smallest, or largest Pokémon. The types of Pokémon that can participate in the Showcases will change with each event.

Although we don’t know when they will appear, they tend to be seen on Community Days and they will also let you participate until the event ends. So if you don’t have the necessary Pokémon, you have time to capture it in another event parallel to this one.
