Sons Of The Forest | How to get the pickaxe,

In an update prior to v1.0 of Sons Of The Forest , they have added a new key item to obtain a mineral that allows us to improve any weapon in our inventory. In this guide, we will show you its location and what you need beforehand to get it.

Peak location in Sons Of The Forest

To get the peak, we will need to enter a cave located in the eastern part of the map . It can be somewhat complicated to locate it, since it is not a cave like the others. In this one, we will have to enter through a hole in the ground , similar to those in the previous installment The Forest.

The caves in general are quite dark, so I recommend bringing a flashlight , since the lighter we have from the beginning of the game does not give much light. Make sure you have enough batteries , as they run out very quickly.

I recommend that you take a tarp and a couple of sticks, so you can put a save point at the entrance of the cave in case you have to restart, when you leave, you can pick it up to use later.

As in other caves, there will be several enemies in this one , so it wouldn’t hurt to carry a weapon, such as a revolver or shotgun , as well as a throwable object such as a couple of Molotov cocktails or grenades.

Where to find the pickaxe in Sons Of The Forest

When you go down the rope and reach the end, you will only have one path to follow. Passing the first gap where we will see some hanging feet, we will find a rock that we will have to go around to the left. When we overcome it we will find an area of ​​water. Follow the stream close to the right side of the cave, since at any moment we will have a cliff through which we can fall.

When we have gone completely down, we will find a puddle through which we will have to go straight with the respirator , since in this area we will not have any detours. When we leave the water, we will come across some stones that seem to obstruct the path. Jump to get on them and be attentive, since here we will have to make the first important decision.

We will come across a path walled up with wood , but if we look closely, to the right there is a free path, which we will have to follow. As we continue forward, we will have a falling animation like in previous caves. As soon as we reach the water, we will dive again through the gap we have, continuing straight until we reach an area where the path divides in two .

We will choose the path on the right and as soon as we pass we will begin to rise to the surface. Go through the broken wooden door and dive back into the water. Here, just like in the first one, we won’t need many directions, since we will only have one path to follow even though it gradually narrows and becomes somewhat claustrophobic.

As soon as we leave, we will see three corpses hanging from the ceiling, which means that we have reached our destination . Simply walk a few meters down the path on the left and you will find the peak you are looking for.
