Generally, brochures tend to be printed with several layers, in flyer format, much lighter and summarized, or in triptych format, with three bodies printed on both sides.

CREATE A BROCHURE IN GOOGLE DOCS

More and more people are using Google Docs to create brochures , since this tool has 2 predefined templates to create this type of documents.

These 2 brochure templates that are included in Google Docs are quite simple, they are documents with text and images printed on double sides and are nothing like the most common brochures.

For this reason, if you want to make your own three-sided brochure in Google Docs , that is, a much more professional and attractive triptych, you will have to follow these steps:

  1. Open Google Docson your computer and click create a new blank document.
  2. In the new document, click on the Filetab on the top toolbar and enter the Page Setupoptions .

You have to set the orientation of the document to Landscape and set the margins to all of them with a value of 0 centimeters.

  1. The next step to create the brochure in Google Docsis to insert a 3-column table that forms our brochure.

Click the Insert tab on the top toolbar and then click Table . Some boxes will appear for you to select the cells and columns of the table that we are going to insert.

Select 3 horizontal boxes that will be the visual reference of the 3 columns that our brochure will have in Google Docs.

  1. Before adding text and images to our brochure in Google Docs, it is necessary to add a small internal margin to the columns of the table that you have inserted into the document.

Right-click on the first cell of the table and select the Table Properties option from the menu that opens.

On the right side, enter the Alignment option and set the Cell Padding Space to 0.125 cm.

Do the same with the other two columns of the table that will form our brochure in Google Docs , this way any element inserted into the table will stay away from the margins.

  1. All you have to do is add text and images to each of the columnsto finish creating your brochure in Google Docs, taking into account which part of the brochure each column corresponds to for printing and subsequent folding.

For the front or front part of the brochure when printing, you have to keep in mind that the first column is sheet 1, the second column is the back cover and the third column is the cover or front cover.

  1. In a new sheet of the document where you created your brochure in Google Docs, replicate the steps and create another table for the back of the brochure that would correspond to:

The first column of this new table would be Sheet 2, the second column would be Sheet 3 and the third column would be Sheet 4 of your brochure.
